UGLY GIN is an authentically hand-made craft gin stripped of all the non-essentials in an effort to provide you, the customer, with an amazing gin that you can enjoy without paying for the the packaging, marketing, elaborate in-store display and Instagram ads. Because whether we like it or not, the customer ends up paying for all of that.

We have two variants:

Original - Grapefruit and Goji Berry

A clean, modern, fresh gin made with goji berries and grapefruit, alongside the juniper berries.

Burnt Orange and Sage

Smoked over smouldering Rooikrans wood and infused to create smokey and juicy flavours, this unique and special edition merges Burnt Orange and Sage and pays homage to a wild African crackling fire on a starlit, summer evening in the bush.

Handcrafting modern spirits through science and art, Pienaar & Son is a small craft distillery located in the Silo District of Cape Town Harbour. Although they appreciate traditional methods and the history of distillation, their tiny distillery goes about their business finding fresh ways of creating and introducing people to quality, modern spirits.
